However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Hart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Spring Day on the Hudson, which sold at auction in January this year for USD 44,100.00 (€ 40,615.21).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 28.000,00 (€ 19.353,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Für andere Arbeiten von William Hart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Spring Day on the Hudson beobachtet, die im Januar diesen Jahres für USD 44.100,00 (€ 40.615,21) versteigert wurde.
