Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Autumn by William Hart for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,834.68). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Hart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Spring Day on the Hudson in January this year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 40,615.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Autumn von William Hart für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.834,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Hart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Spring Day on the Hudson im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 40.615,21).
