Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Hart could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Cows By A Stream changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 7,775.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Hart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Spring Day on the Hudson in January this year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 40,615.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Hart konnte im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Cows By A Stream für USD 11.250,00 (€ 7.775,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Hart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Spring Day on the Hudson im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 40.615,21).
