The work Portrait head of Sir John Everett Millais (1829-1896) by William Holman Hunt was sold in the British and European Art auction at Christies in London in December 2021. The auction ended at the price of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 119,279.02), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Holman Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tuscan Girl Plaiting Straw in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 3,330,500.00 (€ 4,006,074.97).

Die Arbeit Portrait head of Sir John Everett Millais (1829-1896) von William Holman Hunt wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in London versteigert.
