The work Kings carousing; and The Beggar Maid, a design for Moxon's Tennyson by William Holman Hunt was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2018. It achieved a price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,342.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Holman Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tuscan Girl Plaiting Straw in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 3,330,500.00 (€ 4,006,074.97).

Die Arbeit Kings carousing; and The Beggar Maid, a design for Moxon's Tennyson von William Holman Hunt kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.342,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Holman Hunt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tuscan Girl Plaiting Straw im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.330.500,00 (€ 4.006.074,97).
