It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,353.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by William Grimaldi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Arthur Wellesley, 1St Duke Of Wellington (1769-1852) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,746.44).
