Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Sporting & Wildlife Art Including an Important Private Collection of Works by Archibald Thorburn and Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe, which included the work Master's slipper by William Barraud. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,240.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Barraud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sir Edmund Antrobus And The Old Surrey Fox Hounds At The Foot Of Addington Hills in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 45,000.00 (€ 63,794.89).
