Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Portrait of a gentleman, standing full-length beside a horse, his crop in his hand by William Barraud was sold in the Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2012. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,273.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Barraud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sir Edmund Antrobus And The Old Surrey Fox Hounds At The Foot Of Addington Hills in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 45,000.00 (€ 63,794.89).
