Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A gentleman with his horse by William Barraud was sold in the Sporting Art and Dogs auction at Christies in London in June 2004. The price achieved of GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,312.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Barraud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sir Edmund Antrobus And The Old Surrey Fox Hounds At The Foot Of Addington Hills in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 45,000.00 (€ 63,794.89).
