Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Looking out over the river by Willem Bodeman was sold in the 19th Century EuropeanArt auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2007. The price achieved of EUR 7,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Bodeman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch a Winter Landscape With Woodgatherers On The Ice, which sold at auction in June 2011 for EUR 24,750.00.

Die Arbeit Looking out over the river von Willem Bodeman wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion 19th Century EuropeanArt bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Bodeman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch a Winter Landscape With Woodgatherers On The Ice beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für EUR 24.750,00 versteigert wurde.
