Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Three Kids by Will Ryman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,080.00 (€ 5,517.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Will Ryman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bed in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 97,875.00 (€ 115,687.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Kids von Will Ryman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.080,00 (€ 5.517,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Will Ryman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bed im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 97.875,00 (€ 115.687,47).
