Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Janitor, Henry by Will Ryman. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,133.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Will Ryman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bed in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 97,875.00 (€ 115,687.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Janitor, Henry von Will Ryman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.133,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Will Ryman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bed im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 97.875,00 (€ 115.687,47).
