Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Park Avenue #36 by Will Ryman was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,279.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Will Ryman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bed in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 97,875.00 (€ 115,687.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for Park Avenue #36 von Will Ryman wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.279,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Will Ryman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bed im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 97.875,00 (€ 115.687,47).
