Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Will Leewens was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2000. It changed hands for a price of NLG 4,680.80 (€ 2,192.88) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of NLG 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Will Leewens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life, which sold at auction in December 2002 for EUR 5,019.00.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Will Leewens wurde im November 2000 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von NLG 4.680,80 (€ 2.192,88) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Will Leewens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für EUR 5.019,00 versteigert wurde.
