This artwork by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2020. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Celebration sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,880.54) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Glacier (Bone) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 125,364.55).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham erzielte im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Celebration für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.880,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilhelmina Barns-Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Glacier (Bone) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 125.364,55).
