This artwork by Wesley Tongson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,555.31) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wesley Tongson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Green Mountains sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 23,627.85).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wesley Tongson erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.555,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wesley Tongson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Green Mountains im November 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 23.627,85).
