Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Autumn Landscape by Wesley Tongson. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,730.67), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wesley Tongson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Green Mountains in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 23,627.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Landscape von Wesley Tongson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.730,67) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wesley Tongson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Green Mountains im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 23.627,85).
