Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Wesley Tongson was sold in the Arts of Asia Online auction at Christies in New York in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,635.76). Admittedly, works by Wesley Tongson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Green Mountains in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 23,627.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wesley Tongson wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Arts of Asia Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.635,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wesley Tongson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Green Mountains im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 23.627,85).
