In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Guanyin by Wesley Tongson. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,093.61), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wesley Tongson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Green Mountains, which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 23,627.85).

Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Guanyin von Wesley Tongson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.093,61) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wesley Tongson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Green Mountains beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 23.627,85) versteigert wurde.
