Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Goldfish No.4 by Wei Dong was sold in the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2020. The price achieved of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,710.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wei Dong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wanna Fly in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 37,188.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Goldfish No.4 von Wei Dong wurde im April 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.710,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wei Dong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wanna Fly im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 37.188,17).
