Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Red Game by Wei Dong was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 100,800.00 (€ 12,266.62). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wei Dong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wanna Fly, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 37,188.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Red Game von Wei Dong wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 100.800,00 (€ 12.266,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wei Dong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wanna Fly beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 37.188,17) versteigert wurde.
