Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in Beijing held the auction Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work Untitled (Sailor In A Pond) by Wang Xingwei. The price achieved of CNY 1,534,000.00 (€ 221,834.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 1,300,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Xingwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blind in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in Beijing die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Sailor In A Pond) von Wang Xingwei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 1.534.000,00 (€ 221.834,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 1.300.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Xingwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blind im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.400.000,00 (€ 967.757,38).
