In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale), which included the work Arcadia by Wang Xingwei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 5,200,000.00 (€ 601,023.80), 30% above the upper estimate. Other works by Wang Xingwei have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38) in October 2014 for the work Blind.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arcadia von Wang Xingwei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 5.200.000,00 (€ 601.023,80) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Wang Xingwei haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.400.000,00 (€ 967.757,38) im Oktober 2014 für die Arbeit Blind beobachtet.
