Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled by Wang Jianwei was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The price achieved of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 56,300.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Jianwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Blind in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 254,279.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled von Wang Jianwei kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 56.300,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Jianwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Blind im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 254.279,30).
