Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wang Jianwei could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work My Visual Archive changed hands for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,223.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jianwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Blind in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 254,279.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jianwei konnte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit My Visual Archive für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.223,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jianwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Blind im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 254.279,30).
