A top price for Wang Jianwei - as previously expected
The work The Blind by Wang Jianwei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. The price achieved of HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 254,279.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,800,000.00 – 2,600,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Blind is the most expensive artwork by Wang Jianwei that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit The Blind von Wang Jianwei kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 254.279,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.800.000,00 – 2.600.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Blind das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wang Jianwei, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
