Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Wang Jianwei was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,347.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Jianwei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Blind, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 254,279.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wang Jianwei wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.347,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Jianwei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Blind beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 254.279,30) versteigert wurde.
