Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Il y a des jambes qui en disent long by Wang Du was sold in the Contemporary Art Day auction at Phillips in London in June 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,270.33) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Du have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No Comment in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Il y a des jambes qui en disent long von Wang Du wurde im Juni 2009 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.270,33) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Du auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No Comment im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
