Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wang Dongling could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work A Song Of Life changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Dongling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harmonious Opposition in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Dongling konnte im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wechselte die Arbeit A Song Of Life für USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Dongling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harmonious Opposition im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
