Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Walter Price could be acquired at Phillips in London in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Distract them while we run! changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,091.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Price achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parasympathetic in March this year with an auction result of GBP 45,720.00 (€ 52,015.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter Price konnte im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Distract them while we run! für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.091,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Price erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parasympathetic im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.720,00 (€ 52.015,33).
