Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Schnalstalgletscher Vi Diptych by Walter Niedermayr for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,586.16). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Walter Niedermayr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ghiacciaio Della Marmolada II - 1995 in October 2017 with an auction result of EUR 23,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Schnalstalgletscher Vi Diptych von Walter Niedermayr für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.586,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Niedermayr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ghiacciaio Della Marmolada II - 1995 im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 23.400,00.
