Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Vedretta Presena I' (Polyptych) by Walter Niedermayr was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,725.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Niedermayr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghiacciaio Della Marmolada II - 1995, which sold at auction in October 2017 for EUR 23,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Vedretta Presena I' (Polyptych) von Walter Niedermayr kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 8.725,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Niedermayr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghiacciaio Della Marmolada II - 1995 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für EUR 23.400,00 versteigert wurde.
