A top price for Walter Dexel
This artwork by Walter Dexel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2020. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Segelschiff I sold for GBP 671,250.00 (€ 777,980.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00. This high result makes Segelschiff I the most expensive artwork by Walter Dexel that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter Dexel erzielte im Februar 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Segelschiff I für GBP 671.250,00 (€ 777.980,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300.000,00.
