Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Vittorio Sella achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Skinner Boston in January 2024. In the Prints & Photographs auction, the work Camp Below the West Face of K2 sold for USD 1,664.00 (€ 1,454.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vittorio Sella - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shkhara ridge, Georgia, c. 1890, which sold at auction in December 2012 for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,791.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vittorio Sella erzielte im Januar 2024 bei Bonhams in Skinner Boston einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Photographs wurde die Arbeit Camp Below the West Face of K2 für USD 1.664,00 (€ 1.454,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Vittorio Sella mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shkhara ridge, Georgia, c. 1890 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.791,90) versteigert wurde.
