Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Il K2 con gli autografi degli alpinisti della spedizione italiana del 1954 1909/1954 by Vittorio Sella was sold in the Fotografia auction at Il Ponte in July 2020. The price achieved of EUR 600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Vittorio Sella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shkhara ridge, Georgia, c. 1890 in December 2012 with an auction result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,791.90).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vittorio Sella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shkhara ridge, Georgia, c. 1890 im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.791,90).
