Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Park Study, C. 1850 by Joseph de Vigier was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,498.12). Other works by Joseph de Vigier have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2008 by the work Trees In A Park, C. 1850 at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,452.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Park Study, C. 1850 von Joseph de Vigier im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.498,12) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Joseph de Vigier wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2008 die Arbeit Trees In A Park, C. 1850 mit GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.452,15).
