Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled Abstraction by Vaclav Vytlacil was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2000, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 940.00 (€ 1,081.21). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vaclav Vytlacil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life with Fish in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 27,400.00 (€ 19,269.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled Abstraction von Vaclav Vytlacil im November 2000 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 940,00 (€ 1.081,21) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vaclav Vytlacil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life with Fish im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.400,00 (€ 19.269,99).
