Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Panoramic View of Two Ways to Climb Mt. Fuji and Panoramic View of Routes to Mt. Fuji (Fuji ryodo ichiran no zu, Fugaku dochu ichiran) by Utagawa Sadahide was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,477.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Sadahide achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yokohama koeki seiyojin kamotsu unso no zu (A view of Western traders transporting merchandise at Yokohama) in September 2002 with an auction result of USD 17,925.00 (€ 18,144.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Panoramic View of Two Ways to Climb Mt. Fuji and Panoramic View of Routes to Mt.
