Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Deuce by Udomsak Krisanamis was sold in the First Open auction at Christies in New York in March 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,630.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Udomsak Krisanamis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Wind Cries Mary, which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,493.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Deuce von Udomsak Krisanamis wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.630,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Udomsak Krisanamis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Wind Cries Mary beobachtet, die im September 2019 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.493,35) versteigert wurde.
