Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Udomsak Krisanamis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2017. In the First Open auction, the work Walkie Talkie sold for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,297.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Udomsak Krisanamis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Wind Cries Mary, which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,493.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Udomsak Krisanamis erzielte im April 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open wurde die Arbeit Walkie Talkie für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.297,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Udomsak Krisanamis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Wind Cries Mary beobachtet, die im September 2019 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.493,35) versteigert wurde.
