In February 2020 Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Mean Mr Mustard by Udomsak Krisanamis. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,636.01), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Udomsak Krisanamis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Wind Cries Mary in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,493.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mean Mr Mustard von Udomsak Krisanamis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.636,01) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Udomsak Krisanamis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Wind Cries Mary im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.493,35).
