Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Calligraphy in Xingshu by Tung Chiao. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 52,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 52,920.00 (€ 5,994.30). Admittedly, works by Tung Chiao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Literati in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 27,911.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Xingshu von Tung Chiao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 52.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 52.920,00 (€ 5.994,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tung Chiao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Literati im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 27.911,05).
