In October last year China Guardian held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Tung Chiao. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 120,000.00 (€ 15,377.49), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tung Chiao; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Literati sold at auction in October 2020 with the realized price of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 27,911.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Tung Chiao zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 120.000,00 (€ 15.377,49) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tung Chiao; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Literati im Oktober 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 27.911,05).
