The work Calligraphy - Literati At Heart by Tung Chiao was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,730.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Tung Chiao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Literati in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 27,911.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy - Literati At Heart von Tung Chiao wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.730,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tung Chiao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Literati im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 27.911,05).
