This artwork by Tsang Tsou Choi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2017. In the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Calligraphy On Board) sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,970.72) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tsang Tsou Choi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 174,606.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tsang Tsou Choi erzielte im Dezember 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Calligraphy On Board) für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.970,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tsang Tsou Choi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 174.606,44).
