This artwork by Trevor Bell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2020. In the Made in Britain auction, the work without title sold for GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,056.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Trevor Bell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Black And White Abstraction in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,136.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Trevor Bell erzielte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.056,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Trevor Bell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Black And White Abstraction im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.136,11).
