This artwork by Trevor Bell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2020. In the Modern & Post-War British Art auction, the work Newlyn sold for GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,094.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Trevor Bell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Black And White Abstraction in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,136.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Trevor Bell erzielte im November 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art wurde die Arbeit Newlyn für GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.094,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Trevor Bell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Black And White Abstraction im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.136,11).
