In March 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Selective Histories by Toyin Ojih Odutola. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 250,000.00 (€ 290,167.44), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Toyin Ojih Odutola have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Through Line in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,198,000.00 (€ 1,947,373.08).

Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selective Histories von Toyin Ojih Odutola zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 290.167,44) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Toyin Ojih Odutola auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Through Line im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.198.000,00 (€ 1.947.373,08).
