Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Auguri per il proprio compleanno by Toti Scialoja was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Milan in May 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 18,000.00 – 24,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 18,200.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Toti Scialoja have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Metamorfosi in November 2007 with an auction result of EUR 75,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Auguri per il proprio compleanno von Toti Scialoja wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 18.000,00 – 24.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 18.200,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Toti Scialoja auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Metamorfosi im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.800,00.
