Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Christies held the auction From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online, which included the work The Actor Sawamura Sojuro III And Courtesans by Torii Kiyonaga. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,807.29). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torii Kiyonaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 125,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Christies die Auktion From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Actor Sawamura Sojuro III And Courtesans von Torii Kiyonaga zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.807,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Torii Kiyonaga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 125.000,00.
